Austin guitarist Lauren Larson, frontwoman for the rock trio Ume, is in San Francisco tonight teaming up with Heart’s Nancy Wilson for a short acoustic set as part of the “Acoustic-4-A-Cure” benefit show at the Fillmore Auditorium.

The show, which raises funds for the pediatric cancer program at the University of California at San Francisco’s Benioff Children’s Hospital, also features Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, James Hetfield of Metallica, Sammy Hagar, guitarist Joe Satriani and others.

Larson heads right back to Austin after the show, as Ume is opening for Cheap Trick at Emo’s on Friday. Next month, they’ll head out on the road opening a summer tour for Circa Survive. Ume’s second album, “Monuments,” was released in March by Dangerbird Records.
