The Eastern Sea, Lord Buffalo, Sour Notes at Empire Control Room. The excellent bill of local indie rock on this month’s Red Bull Sound Select provides a good opportunity to shake the post-SXSW cynicism and recognize that sometimes enormous corporations use their powers for good. Curated by Laurie Gallardo of the Good Music Club, the show is headlined by the Eastern Sea, a band that employs sweeping, emotional songcraft with a lovely dramatic effect.
