Alejandro Escovedo at the Continental Club. After spending the winter organizing January’s magnificent United Sounds of Austin show at ACL Live and co-headlining a tour with former R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck, Escovedo reclaims his Tuesday-night residency at the Continental in May, starting with this show. He’s also made a album with his old friend Nicholas Tremulis, Voidoids guitarist Ivan Julian and Miracle 3 drummer Linda Pitmon under the name the Fauntleroys, due out on Plowboy Records later this year. $10. 10:30 p.m. 1315 S.
