Scumbag thieves steal Mike and the Moonpies’ gear in Dallas

Local honky tonkers Mike and the Moonpies lost their van, cargo trailer and all of their gear after a gig in Dallas over the weekend. They estimate the losses at $20,000.

The band has set up a fundraising site where fans can pitch in to help cover the loss. For a $10 donation the band is offering a download of their latest album.

They’ve also included a list of all the gear that was stolen so folks can help keep an eye on resale sites.

Encouragingly, as of this posting the band has already raised over $7300 of their $7500 goal.
