Balkan Beat Box at Red 7. With roots in both New York City and Tel Aviv, Israel, the self-described “gypsy punk” outfit plays an exuberant mash up of klezmer, carnival and global dance sounds. Though the group’s official lineup includes only three core members, the touring ensemble knocks the roster up closer to 10 for a brash big band blowout.
