Ramblin’ Jack Elliott at Cactus Cafe. “They don’t call him Ramblin’ Jack because he travels around a lot,” the old saw goes about Elliott’s penchant for long-winded stories. It’s remarkable, though, that he does still travel around a lot at age 82, giving audiences a chance to hear a living legend of folk music whose history is intertwined with giants such as Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan. Heck, no lesser than Guy Clark wrote a song about him. $30. 8 p.m. 2247 Guadalupe St. cactuscafe.org. — P.B.
