Call it hashtag philanthropy: ACL Festival is teaming up with KIND Healthy Snacks for the “Play It Forward” contest, and music-loving do-gooders have the chance to win big.

For a shot at the grand prize — a pair of VIP three-day passes to the second weekend of this year’s ACL Festival — contestants can perform a good deed for the community or environment, take a picture or video, and post it to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with the hashtags #kindawesome and #aclfest.

Second prize is no small thing, either: Five runners-up will receive a pair of general admission three-day passes to ACL Fest weekend two. The next 50 honorable mentions will receive a KIND gift pack, including more fruit-and-nut bars than you can eat in a single sitting.

There’s no mention on the official contest page of how the winner will be determined, but the instructions say no good deed is too small: Riding a bike to work and building a house are both mentioned as worthy entries.

The social-conscience-meets-social-media nature of the Play It Forward contest will no doubt remind Austin music fans of the Doritos Bold campaign at this year’s SXSW, where people who hoped to see Lady Gaga could perform a “bold” stunt for a chance at tickets.
