Two Cow Garage at Mohawk indoor. A few years ago when Columbus, Ohio, band Two Cow Garage landed in Austin on a weeknight, they were up against a Strokes show at Stubb’s, though the tough gig didn’t keep them from giving their all for rock ’n’ roll at Red 7. They have better luck this time through, with pretty modest competition for your entertainment dollar as they blast through songs from their new disc “Death of the Self Preservation Society” on Red River, after playing a campus-area gig last fall at Hole in the Wall (of which there are some pretty good YouTube videos). Broken Gold opens. $10. 10 p.m. 912 Red River St. mohawkaustin.com. — P.B.
