Harvest Thieves at Holy Mountain. Drummer James Taylor refers to his group Harvest Thieves as “our jagged little country band.” That’s a reasonable description of “Escape From the Paper City,” an evocative song they’ve contributed to a split 7-inch shared with Minneapolis alt-country songwriter Sam Cassidy. The band plays at Elysium. … KGSR’s free “Unplugged at the Grove” series gets alliterative with Shakey Graves at Shady Grove. … Full-band hip-hop act Magna Carda brings the beats and rhymes to Red 7.
