This week promoters around the city have us dreaming of cooler times in the distant future with a slew of new concert announcements most of which are scheduled for this fall.
Sept. 4: Brad Paisley at Austin360 Amphitheater. Kraft cheese presents (really) the Country Nation World Tour, headined by Paisley. Tickets on sale Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at c3.concerts.com.
Oct. 24: Bassnectar at the Austin Music Hall. Drum and bass innovator Lorin Ashton a.k.a. Bassnectar drops his tenth album “Noise vs. Beauty” today. He kicks off a fall tour in NYC in early October and will hit town near the end of the month. Tickets on sale Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at c3.concerts.com and frontgatetickets.com.
Oct. 28: Arctic Monkeys at the Cedar Park Center. Brit rockers, 2013 Austin City Limits Festival artists are still touring in support of their Sept. 2013 release “AM.” The show is part of alt-rock station 101X’s 19th birthday celebration. Tickets on sale on Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster locations and c3.concerts.com.
Nov. 18: Slayer at ACL Live. The speed metal titans and two-time Fun Fun Fun Fest veterans clearly understand that November is the best time to be in Austin. The stately sit-down music hall ACL Live seems like an odd choice for the band, but they will certainly sound amazing. Tickets on sale Friday, June 27 at 10 a.m. through acl-live.com or 877.4FLYTIX.
