Blake Shelton at Austin 360 Amphitheater. Thus begins the Live Nation “Country Megaticket,” a summer series of three shows at Circuit of the Americas with a package price for die-hard fans of mainstream country acts. Shelton may be best-known these days for his role as a coach on “The Voice,” but local audiences will no doubt still eagerly anticipate his rendition of “Austin,” the chart-topper that made him a star back in 2001. The Band Perry, featuring siblings Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry, tops a trifecta of opening acts that also includes Neal McCoy and Dan +Shay. The Country Megaticket shows continue July 11 with Rascal Flatts and Sheryl Crow before a Sept. 4 finale featuring Brad Paisley and Randy Houser. $67-$350 (megaticket), $29.50-$69.50 (Friday’s show only). 7 p.m. 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd. austin360amphitheater.com.
Hot Nut Riveters CD release at Roost. New twists on old-time swing, jazz and folk sounds have been a fixture on the local scene since the 1990s heyday of the Asylum Street Spankers, whose post-breakup disc “The Last Laugh” was issued this spring. Some of that band’s remnants have resurfaced in the Hot Nut Riveters, which features former Spankers Guy Forsyth and Nevada Newman as well as ex-Bad Livers bassist Mark Rubin. The quintet is celebrating the release of its debut disc, “Moustashe Girl.” $10-$15. 8 p.m. 2113 Wells Branch Parkway. theroostaustin.com.
