Ray Benson & MilkDrive and the Jason Roberts Band at Bullock Texas State History Museum. The Bullock’s “Music Under the Star” series concludes an all-too-short 2014 season that was slightly truncated this year because the Fourth of July fell on a Friday. Ray Benson has spent much of the year away from Asleep at the Wheel to promote his fine solo disc “A Little Piece”; he’ll be backed by the hot young newgrass group MilkDrive, his frequent backing crew in recent months. Opening is former Wheel fiddler Jason Roberts and his top-notch western swing outfit. Free. 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 1800 N. Congress Ave. thesstoryoftexas.com. — Peter Blackstock
