Ever wondered what Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams has to say about the Supreme Court’s birth control ruling? Or, perhaps you wondered who her favorite boy band member was back in the day. Those tidbits and more arcane knowledge about the neon-plumed pop-punk star abound in a Rolling Stone Q&A published today. In one highlight, Williams discusses sexism in the music industry:

“I’m not faced with it directly the way I was when I was 16 and we could see every single person in the crowd and hear everything they were saying. I think some of them didn’t know how to handle a girl being in a position of authority. Now, I just don’t want to hear my friends in bands saying, ‘I got asked again if I was a merch girl.’”

The interview is particularly well-timed for Austinites: Paramore joins Fall Out Boy for a co-headlining gig at the Austin360 Amphitheater on Saturday. Check back Sunday for a review and photos.
