Holiday music, from the Bazaar to the Conspirare
Friday’s Austin360 section in the American-Statesman features a roundup of holiday music highlights over the next few weeks, starting with tonight’s Braun Family Thanksgiving concert at ACL Live with Reckless Kelly, Micky & the Motorcars and more. Subscribers and nonsubscribers alike can check out the full story via this social-sharing link on our website.
And there’s more: The daily music schedule is now set for one of Austin’s longest-running holiday traditions, the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar, Dec. 16-24 at the Palmer Events Center.
The annual homespun marketplace runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, with a music stage offering plenty of sitting and standing room nestled among dozens of craft vendor booths. Performances are scheduled for noon, 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. daily. Admission to the Bazaar is $7.
As usual, the lineup features many of Austin’s top roots-music acts, including Dale Watson on opening night (Dec. 16), Shinyribs (Dec. 17), Ray Wylie Hubbard (Dec. 19), Ruthie Foster (Dec. 20), Marcia Ball and Carolyn Wonderland (Dec. 21), the Peterson Brothers (Dec. 23) and Bill Kirchen (Dec. 24).
