Planner, March 27: Elton John, more tickets on sale today
The 15th annual Andy Roddick Foundation Gala is bringing one of the most highly acclaimed solo artists of all time to Austin. Sir Elton John will play his sixth show for the charity at ACL Live on May 4, and tickets for the show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. With commercial success comparable to the Beatles and Elvis Presley, Elton John is one of the most sought after performers by audiences all over the world. But if you’re not already well-versed in Elton John trivia, you probably won’t be putting the necessary $125-$950 toward a ticket.
The iHeartRadio Country Festival is returning to the Frank Erwin Center, and the lineup is stacked with some of the biggest names in the genre. Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker and Little Big Town are just a few of the artists slated to perform at this year’s concert. Last year’s inaugural event featured four-song performances from each artist and ran for about four hours. Tickets for the May 2 show, which is exclusive to Austin, go on sale Saturday at 9 a.m.
Tickets for dozens of Moontower Comedy Festival-affiliated side shows will also go on sale this week, along with these upcoming concerts:
• Boz Scaggs at ACL Live (May 10)
• The Eagles at Frank Erwin Center (May 19)
• Hamilton Leithauser at the Parish (May 22)
• Royal Thunder at Holy Mountain (May 31)
• Superheaven at Mohawk (June 5)
• Active Child at Central Presbyterian Church (June 6)
• The Mountain Goats at ACL Live (June 9)
• Tedeschi Trucks Band, Doyle Bramhall II and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings at Austin360 Amphitheater (July 12)
• Death Grips at Mohawk (July 18)
• Slightly Stoopid at Whitewater Amphitheater (Aug. 22)

Cheers to ‘Mad Men’
To celebrate the return of the final season of “Mad Men,” which premieres April 5, Sullivan’s Steakhouse is bringing back the three-martini lunch. So to speak.
Cocktails inspired by the characters Roger Sterling, Don Draper and Betty Francis will be on the menu at the downtown restaurant through May 17, the date of the “Mad Men” finale.
Or, if you’d prefer to mix one up while you’re at home and feverishly watching the final episodes of the 1960s-set drama, we have the recipes for the trio of drinks in the Liquid Austin blog at austin360.com. Each of them at Sullivan’s, located at 300 Colorado St., are $15.
