The times may be a-changin’, but after five decades in the music business, legendary songwriter Bob Dylan is still at the top of his game. The 2014 leg of his Never Ending Tour received positive reviews from critics on each of the four continents he visited. And earlier this month, Dylan released his 36th studio album, “Shadows in the Night,” covering Frank Sinatra’s traditional pop standards. He accepted the 2015 MusiCares Person of the Year award three days after the album debuted to universal acclaim. The Minnesota native has had a good few months, not to mention the other 50 years he’s spent collecting Grammys, Hall of Fame inductions and Presidential Medals of Freedom. Dylan’s spring tour stops at Bass Concert Hall on May 6, and tickets go on sale Friday at noon.

Although Sam Smith’s career has just begun, he became a big name in the industry at the Grammy Awards earlier this month. His international hit “Stay With Me” won record and song of the year, while Smith was named the best new artist. The Londoner sang to massive crowds at the Austin City Limits Music Festival last year, prompting him to return to Austin on Aug. 15. The Frank Erwin Center will be the penultimate stop of his 2015 international tour, and tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
