The "Script to Screen" course walks students through how a script becomes a completed film, using McConaughey's films as specific examples. McConaughey films lessons from the sets and visits the class in-person to discuss each film.

"('The Beach Bum' was a) much different script to screen experience for myself, and I'm sure for the class, than most of the other films, like 'Free State of Jones,' or 'Mud,' or even 'White Boy Rick,'" McConaughey said in the video. "This was an 82-page script that was all about rhyme and not about reason."

McConaughey also talks about Harmony Korine's directing style in "The Beach Bum," his time in film school and how he's had to the idea for the course "for over 10 years." You can also see him behind-the-scenes in full beach bum attire.
