The Austin Polish Society is launching a new film series that starts Sunday, Jan. 5, with a screening of “Time to Die,” or “Pora umierac,” a 2007 feature from director Dorota Kedzierzawska.
The movie, which was shot in black and white, is a character study of a woman who lives in a deteriorating home and is alienated from her family. One of her only sources of pleasure is her daily talks with her dog, Fila.
The free screening will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Austin Public Library, 5500 Manchaca Road.
