An insurer has filed suit against Alamo Drafthouse, accusing the Austin-based theater chain of failing to pay premiums totaling almost $100,000.
Milwaukee Casualty Insurance Co. filed the lawsuit this month in Travis County Court at Law No. 1.
The insurance company, in documents obtained by the American-Statesman, says it has “fully performed its obligations” but Alamo Drafthouse has “wrongfully refused” to pay for the policy.
A representative of Alamo Drafthouse did not respond to a request for comment.
In addition to the insurance premiums, Milwaukee Casualty Insurance Co. is seeking interest, attorney’s fees and court costs.
