Longtime Austin genre-film scene-fixture Zack Carlson — formerly of Alamo Drafthouse and co-author of “Destroy All Movies: The Complete Guide to Punks on Film” —is joining forces with current Alamo Terror Tuesday programmer Joseph Ziemba and the folks at Mondo to launch the Bleeding Skull Video label.

Bleeding Skull will reissue (or premiere) barely released (or unreleased) trash-horror movies from the 1980s and 1990 on VHS.

The outfit’s first release is, as Carlson put it, “the incredible, unseen shot-on-video new wave slashterpiece ‘Cards of Death’” on June 24. The plan is to releasse four movies a year on VHS and streaming if the filmmakers so desire.
