1. Kat Edmonson at Paramount Theatre

8 p.m. Wednesday. $20-$45. 713 Congress Ave.

“Is there some point in one’s life when dreaming becomes impractical or impossible?” That’s the question Edmonson asked herself when she wrote the song “Too Late to Dream,” which became the launching point for her new album, “Dreamers Do.” Released last week, it’s largely the former Austinite’s salute to classic tunes from 20th-century Disney films, with songs selected and arranged in a way that documents an imagined journey from dusk ’til dawn. — Peter Blackstock

2. “Every Brilliant Thing” at Zach Theatre

7:30 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through March 29. $25-$56. 202 S. Lamar

Ice cream. Water fights. Things with stripes. In this Zach Theatre show, a boy sets out to count his blessings one by one and list every single special, ordinary thing about living to lift his mom's spirits. The love list flourishes as he matures to adulthood, proving valuable in ways he could never have predicted. Hilarious and uplifting, “Every Brilliant Thing” is an interactive, improvisational play.

3. Date Night at the DAC: Art After Dark

7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Free. Dougherty Arts Center, 1110 Barton Springs

This month’s Date Night at the DAC will have a special blend of art activities, beverages and scintillating conversation. Listen to DJ beats while exploring “Beyond the Wall,” a new exhibit by KB, Katie Lehn and Adam Stratton that honors their one-of-a-kind practices. Plus, delve into art as social practice by creating an artist trading card. Leave yours and take home a one-of-a-kind work by someone else.

4. Drag Queen Bingo at St. Elmo Brewing

7 p.m. Wednesday. Free. 440 E. St. Elmo Road.

South Austin brewery St. Elmo hosts a monthly bingo night with the one and only Louisianna Purchase, a contestant on Season 3 of “Dragula” who was also voted Austin's top drag queen for three years running in the Austin Chronicle. There will be multiple rounds of bingo, with performances by Louisianna in between and the chance to win prizes. The Little Gay Shop hosts a pop-up.
