Body Rock ATX: 10 Year Anniversary at Empire Garage. The joyous happening hosted by DJ Chorizo Funk and husband-and-wife hip-hop duo Riders Against the Storm has always been more than a dance party. It’s an invitation to revel in rhythms, sweat out your sorrows and leave it all on the dance floor. For the anniversary bash, they’re bringing in excellent b-boy, rapper and turntablist Tony Touch from New York City. $10 in advance. 9 p.m. doors Saturday. 606 E. “Gliders.” Different Stage produces the premiere of this magical exploration of what it means to be lost in space. In the summer of 1969, three generations of seemingly ordinary women begin to uncover secrets about themselves as the extraordinary events of the Apollo 11 mission unfold overhead. Juan Luis Jardí. Wally Workman Gallery’s second show with Barcelona-based artist Jardí displays his mix of magical realism, influenced by pop art and surrealism. Jardí's vintage-feeling figures and themes illustrate the contrast in our lives and the doubts we are faced with as humans. Opening reception: 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Middleton Brewing Eighth Anniversary Party. To celebrate eight years of beers at the San Marcos-area brewery, Middleton hosts an all-day party with constant live music, a limited edition eighth anniversary glass and special bottle release of an anniversary beer. (It’s a Belgian dark strong ale with cherries. Be prepared to savor it). Plus, Print This LLC will be in the brewhouse, screen-printing anniversary swag. Two food trucks will provide your party fuel. Austin Saengerrunde's 141st Anniversary. It’s not every day that a local business turns this old. In honor of the birthday, Austin Saengerrunde hosts an anniversary dance. Wear your favorite party dress or coat and tie, and enjoy various activities starting with happy hour. There will be a catered German dinner from Scholz Garten, a live music show from the Oompahs and more. 5 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Free-$40. 1607 San Jacinto Blvd.


TXRD Spring Tryouts. Texas Banked Track Roller Derby. Austin's only banked track roller derby league is gearing up to host biannual tryouts. No experience is necessary, and all 21 and up female-identifying, non-binary and transgender skaters are welcome. Skates and protective gear are available to rent for $5. The skaters who are selected to move forward will begin an intensive three-month, bootcamp-style program. 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. $10. Texas Roller Derby Thunderdome, 1131 South Loop 4, Buda.
