Body Rock ATX at Sahara Lounge. This throwdown hosted by Riders Against the Storm and DJ Chorizo Funk is more than a dance party. It’s an invitation to lay down your inhibitions, sweat out your demons and nourish your soul with rhythm and motion. After 10 years as a monthly event, the party is transforming into a series of pop-up events. Bob Schneider’s New Year’s Eve Party. Welcome the new year and a whole new decade with beloved Austin musician Bob Schneider, whose night of Champagne and surprises has become an annual tradition. From “Tarantula” and “40 Dogs” to tracks from his latest album, “Blood & Bones,” Schneider has proven time and time again why he remains a favorite local artist. Back to the Food Truck: NYE at Sour Duck Market. The farm-to-table cafe, bakery and bar is throwing a “Back to the Future” party that will include goat barbacoa tacos, “pizzas from the future,” mini-burgers and pretzels, along with a cash bar and a bubbly station. New Year's Eve 2020 at Hotel ZaZa. It’s the first New Year’s Eve for the Austin location of Hotel ZaZa, and you can rest assured the hotel is going all out and giving revelers the glitz and glam often requisite this time of year. There will be plenty of champagne, chef-curated strolling light bites, entertainers and an official countdown to ring in 2020. Dress to impress in your best cocktail attire. Drag in the New Year at Irene’s. Everyone's favorite Drag Brunch host, Rhonda Jewels, will be emceeing all night long. Don't miss out on drink specials, a free drag performance and a countdown to 2020 with a toast at midnight. Plus, a portion of all proceeds from Irene’s Rhonda Jewels signature cocktail will be donated to OutYouth, with the donation matched by Tito's Handmade Vodka. The Thinkery’s Noon Year's Eve Balloon Drop and Bubble Wrap Stomp. There’s no need to stay up late to celebrate the new year — or for the kids to miss out. The Thinkery hosts a morning and afternoon event with three simultaneous balloon drops and bubble wrap stomps, two for all ages and one just for toddlers, among other activities.
