1. Jaws on the Water

6 p.m. Saturdays through Aug. 17 (no show July 6). $45. Volente Beach Resort & Waterpark, 16107 FM 2769.

The Alamo Drafthouse’s most popular Rolling Roadshow event, Jaws on the Water, returns to Lake Travis. During several steamy summer nights, you won’t just be watching the classic “Jaws” — you’ll be viewing it in inner tubes at the Volente Beach Resort, feet dangling freely, tantalizingly, into the depthless black water of the lake. (Killer sharks may not be swimming below, but scuba divers will be to provide extra scares.) The film starts at 8:45 p.m. every Saturday, but come early to enjoy all the attractions, including the rides and beach bar.

2. The Roosevelt Room's Casino Royale 4th Anniversary Party

5 p.m. June 27. Free. 307 W. Fifth St.

Take a step back to the 1950s with the Roosevelt Room's anniversary party. The downtown cocktail bar transforms into Austin's most lavish casino in celebration. Try your luck with craps, roulette, blackjack and poker tables. Buy-ins for the action start at $20, and the top five chip leaders at midnight will win prizes. All profits from purchased chips benefit the Austin Children’s Shelter. Plus, of course, there will be a special cocktail menu featuring '50s classics such as Vespers.

3. Antone’s Anniversary opening night with Barbara Lynn

9 p.m. June 28. $15-$17. 305 E. Fifth St.

The Beaumont R&B great, a recent recipient of a National Heritage Fellowship, kicks off the historic blues club's 44th anniversary, headlining a bill at Antone's that also includes C.C. Adcock and Tommy McClain. Expect tribute to be paid to Louisiana’s Lil’ Buck Sinegal, who was scheduled to appear but died earlier this month. The celebration continues with highlights including Jimmie Vaughan (July 6) and the Rising Star Fife & Drum Band (July 19) before a closing bash with Joe Ely (July 20). — Peter Blackstock

4. "Miscellanea: Still Lifes" at Wally Workman Gallery

Opening reception: 4 to 7 p.m. June 29. Show: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday through July 27. 1202 W. Sixth St.

A group show of still-life work by MaryBeth Karaus, Scott Kiche and James Andrew Smith is an exploration in technique and variety within the genre, with each artist known for something distinct. Karaus is respected for her lush depictions of the everyday tabletop and the objects that happen upon it; Kiche is known for the brilliant light within his compositions; and Smith creates stunning hyper-realistic works.

5. Eberly's 3rd Annual Rosé Soirée

12 to 5 p.m. June 30. $50. 615 S. Lamar Blvd.

Eberly's hit summer tasting event returns. Held throughout the entire restaurant, including the rooftop event space that will be transformed into a Champagne and sparkling wine room, the event will offer different activities and entertainment for guests to enjoy while they sip. There will be more than 40 rosés from around the world to taste, as well as rosé cocktails, frosé and light bites from Eberly chefs. But that's not all. Expect yard games, tunes by DJ Andres Santiago and more.
