Director Mike Judge and certain cast members of "Office Space," namely Ron Livingston (Peter), Gary Cole (Bill Lumbergh) and David Herman (Michael Bolton), will be present at this special screening of the workplace comedy shot in Austin. After a 35 mm screening of "Office Space," join these cast and crew members as they reminisce about the making of this Texas classic, the recipient of the 2019 Star of Texas Award at the Texas Film Awards.

2. Carrie Rodriguez Laboratorio with Ruben Ramos at Cactus Cafe

8:30 p.m. March 6. $22-$25. 2247 Guadalupe St.

Violinist and singer-songwriter Rodriguez’s monthly Cactus show is special enough with her regular supporting cast: bassist Roscoe Beck, keyboardist Michael Ramos, guitarist David Pulkingham and drummer Alex Marrero. But she’s gone way-over-the-top in the best way with this month’s special guest: It’s Ruben Ramos, Grammy-winning leader of Tejano group the Mexican Revolution and member of the all-star ensemble Los Super Seven. — Peter Blackstock

3. The First Annual Hushpuppy Munchin' Contest

6 to 9 p.m. March 6. Free. Hops & Grain, 507 Calles St.

Hops & Grain teams up with Austin Daily Press for the first-ever hushpuppy-eating contest. The rules are simple: Be the first to finish a to-be-decided number of this classic snack that ADP calls J-Pups. You won't be able to chug water, but you can at least dip those bite-sized appetizers in spicy ranch. The 10 participants in the contest will be chosen through a random drawing. Prizes include Hops & Grain and ADP swag.
