Pair of music shows and more events provide Saturday excitement
"Celtic Fancies: Music from Ireland & Scotland, c. 1500-1800." The Texas Early Music Project explores the evocative, heartfelt and often humorous ballads from Ireland and Scotland. The English held these works in high esteem, as did our own Benjamin Franklin. The concert features guest singer and piper Peter Walker. Valentine's Pup Party at Picnik. There's nothing like puppy love. At this celebration on the eatery's South Lamar lawn, several dogs will be available to adopt and take home as a new family member, and all other dogs are invited to come play, too. Spin Austin's 1st Annual Chef Paddle Battle. The ping pong bar is hosting a tournament featuring local chefs to benefit the Austin Food & Wine Alliance.
