MLK Celebration at Huston-Tillotson University. The musical roster for this year’s community celebration honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King gets an extra shot of sizzling soul this year as vocal powerhouse Tameca Jones joins a lineup that also includes rapper/scholar Bavu Blakes, Pat G. and the reunion of Les and the Funk Mob. Easy Tiger & Real Ale's Shere Khan Release Party. Easy Tiger has teamed up with Real Ale Brewing to create the Shere Khan Salted Pecan Imperial Stout and will debut it with a couple of beers in Real Ale's Mysterium Verum series. All locations of the beer bar will tap Shere Khan — named after the tiger in "The Jungle Book" — but only the downtown and the Linc locations will have the Mysterium Verum brews. 4 p.m. Tuesday. 709 E. Insights: Live Bronze Pour. The Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum hosts a behind-the-scenes look at the lost wax casting technique famous sculptor Charles Umlauf used for his bronze works. Thursday

"Mirror, Mirrored" Curator Talk at Austin Central Library. A collection of contemporary artists explore the tradition of fairy tales, expanding the scope and imaginative reach of these time-worn narratives. The curator talk featuring Corwin Levi with artist Katy Horan and Susan Miville of The Austin Symphony will discuss the art exhibit on the library's second floor. Banger's 3rd Annual Barrel Bonanza. You won't find a beer list like this one anywhere else. Texas Wildlife Day. Celebrate everything feathered, furred, smooth and scaled at the Texas Memorial Museum. There will be family-friendly activities hosted by University of Texas scientists, museum educators, Texas Master Naturalists and more.
