The restaurant Olamaie, my number one restaurant in Austin two of the last three years, is named after several generations of women in chef-owner Michael Fojtasek’s family, and Monday night the Texas native will welcome five of the country’s top female chefs to cook a collaborative dinner at his Southern restaurant. Entitled “SXSW Cook Out Loud: How to Create the Shift for a Better Restaurant Culture,” the event Monday night is part of South by Southwest’s Soutbites programming and is open to the public.
