Pat Green to play free show for military families at Fort Hood
Pat Green, the Texas Country singer-turned-popular country artist will perform a show at Hood Stadium on Thursday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m.
The show at Fort Hood is free for all military ID holders and their families. (If you’re a civilian, you’re out of luck — although Green will be back in Central Texas next month as part of the Lone Star Jam at the Expo Center.)
Gates open at 4 p.m. and the event will feature a Kids Zone and food and alcohol sales.
Green, the son of an Air Force veteran, is known for such hits as “Wave on Wave,” “Let Me” and “Feels Just Like it Should.”
Before selling out the Astrodome, before the Grammy nominations and before the CMT videos, Green was a self-made independent musician, who got his start playing in bars and Lubbock and eventually was a popular draw in honky-tonks across Texas.
