A free meal and 15 seconds of fame on primetime TV.
That’s what you’ll get if you’re selected to take part in the filming of an upcoming reality show set to air on the Bravo cable network.
“Best New Restaurant,” a competition hosted by well-known foodie Tom Colicchio, will be in Austin later this month and casting directors are rounding up Central Texans to fill the seats at some unnamed local restaurants.
Basically you’ll dine on an amazing meal, then you’ll chat on camera for a few minutes about your experience.
To sign up, head here. You can’t have any food allergies whatsoever and you’ve gotta dress up. (Apparently the producers have never been to Austin before.)
There will be four tapings July 15-18 at 1:30 p.m. daily.
Other cities the show is set to visit include Los Angeles, Miami and New York.
“Best New Restaurant” will “pit 16 of the nation’s hottest new restaurants against each other in a series of challenges aimed at determining who provides the best all-around, top-to-bottom experience,” according to promotional materials. The winner will walk away with a cash prize.
A premiere date has yet to be announced.
