Dish Network customers will be able to watch the Longhorn Network starting next month.
LHN will join the satellite provider’s lineup on May 28, according to ESPN, which operates LHN as part of a 20-year, $300 million deal with the University of Texas.
Dish first announced it had reached a deal to carry LHN in March, but hadn’t previously said when the Austin-based network would be available to its 14 million subscribers.
The agreement also includes a number of other cable channels operated by ESPN and its corporate parent, ABC. Those networks include Disney Junior, ESPN Buzzer Beater, ESPN Goal Line and Fusion.
Customers with Dish’s Top 120+ package or higher will be able to find LHN on Channel 407. The network will also be available on tablets, smartphones and computers in the near future.
Dish joins a growing list of cable and satellite providers to pick up LHN. Others include AT&T U-verse, Google Fiber, Grande Communications and Time Warner Cable.
