Jason Mraz and Raining Jane at Bass Concert Hall. Texas Performing Arts gears up for its 2014-15 season with this acoustic concert by pop singer-songwriter Mraz with Raining Jane, an acoustic quartet of four women from Los Angeles. Mraz’s new album, “Yes!”, is a collaboration with Raining Jane, expanding upon a song they’d written together for a previous Mraz record. Though the instrumentation is more toned down than some of Mraz’s punchier electric material, it’s no less tuneful; the lead single “Love Someone” already has connected with a broad audience, nearing 2 million YouTube views this summer. $25-$75. 8 p.m. 2300 Robert Dedman Drive. texasperformingarts.org. — P.B.
