Monday music picks: Kopecky Family Band, Total Slacker
Kopecky Family Band at the Parish. Though not actually a family band, this Nashville indie folk-pop outfit fronted by distinctive singer Kelsey Kopecky sports six tightly knit members. They rose up through the ranks the old-fashioned way, issuing their debut album “Kids Raising Kids” on their own in 2012 before renowned label ATO Records took notice and released it to a wider audience last year. They played ACL Fest in 2012 and last year made their late-night TV debut on “The Tonight Show.” Fellow Nashville band Coin opens. $15. 8 p.m. 214 E. Sixth St. theparishaustin.com. — P.B.
