Foreign & Domestic hosts Killen’s Barbecue pop-up November 17

Pearland’s Ronnie Killen of Killen’s Barbecue has risen to statewide fame in short order, making waves with appearances on Houston Chronicle restaurant critic Alison Cook’s list of top Houston-area restaurants (#3 this year) and hitting multiple high-profile food events in Austin.

He returns to Austin next week for a barbecue pop-up at Foreign & Domestic, where he will be joined by F&D chef-owner Ned Elliott and Wayne Mueller, grandson of Central Texas barbecue scion Louie Mueller and owner of Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor.

Killen will serve his famous beef ribs and brisket, along with pork ribs, sausage, potato salad and beans. Saint Arnolds Brewing Company will be on hand serving free beer, and Rebecca Masson of Houston’s Fluff Bake Bar will serve dessert.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and the event runs until all the food is gone. Expect lines.
