Relay for Life of Central Austin

What: The main fundraiser for the American Cancer Society is a team event featuring team members taking turns walking around a track to signify that cancer never sleeps; there will also be food, music, games and activities.

Cost: Donate what you will to participants.

Where: The Long Center, 701 W. Riverside Drive.


Aug. 2

8th Annual Pay It Forward with Daniel Curtis

What: The annual fundraiser for the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation and Easterseals Central Texas highlights 20 of the city’s most celebrated restaurants, including Uchi, Barley Swine, Juniper and more.

Cost: $75-$150

Where: AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 University Ave.

Make a Vet Sweat Charity Gala

What: A night that honors our veterans, fallen soldiers and civilian leaders helping the veteran community and that raises money to continue to fund gym memberships for Make a Vet Sweat veterans and their spouses.

Cost: $125 individual tickets

2018 VELA’s Be the Light Annual Fundraiser

What: An unforgettable and intimate evening with VELA’s signature family-style seated dinner, open bar, live music, auctions and raffles, and inspirational stories from many of the families VELA serves.

Cost: $75 early bird ticket; sponsorships start at $500.

TribFeast: A Dinner To Support Nonprofit Journalism

What: A sharp trio of political observers — the cast of Showtime’s “The Circus,” John Heilemann, Alex Wagner and Mark McKinnon — will be guests at this third annual dinner.
