ATX Television Festival’s “Parks and Recreation” outdoor screening. For the second year, the ATX Television Festival is holding an outdoor screening of “Parks and Recreation,” complete with music, food and drink and other Pawnee Harvest Festival fun. It’s free and open to everyone, not just ATX Fest attendees; all you need to do is RSVP. And, yes, everyone’s favorite tiny horse, Li’l Sebastian, may have gone to horsey heaven on the show, but a look-alike will be on hand for all your selfie needs. 6 to 10 p.m. June 8. Free. Hotel San Jose parking lot, 1316 S. Congress Ave.

Bricks and Blocks Bonanza. We know you love to build things, and the Thinkery lets you do that during this after-hours event for families. Various stations will feature all kinds of building and blocks-related activities, including Lego jewelry, giant Jenga, making chocolate blocks and more. There will be free food from P.F. Chang’s and a cash bar for the adults. 6-9 p.m. June 8. $11-$15. Thinkery, 1830 Simond Ave.

Bubblepalooza at the Long Center. It’s not an Austin summer without Bubblepalooza. The kickoff to the Long Center’s All Summer Long series of free community events, the annual celebration of open play on the front lawn features live music, games, food trucks and — of course — a whole lot of bubbles. Additional activities include a giant rock-climbing wall, trampolines, face painting, foam pits, chalk art, garden starter kits, ambulance tours with St. David’s and more. Live music will come from Big Don, Trout Fishing in America and the Saddle Sores. 9 a.m. June 9. Free. 701 W. Riverside Drive. 512-474-5664,

National Rosé Day. Celebrate the beginning of summer by joining the two eateries at Hotel Van Zandt, Geraldine’s and Cafe 605. The latter restaurant will have a photogenic Frosé cocktail you can order, as well as a new list of rosés available by the glass and bottle. Geraldine’s is hosting Super Soul Saturday brunch with a rosé menu including wines from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the U.S. and South America. 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Geraldine’s, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Cafe 605 on June 9. 605 Davis St. 512-476-4755,
