The official Star Wars holiday, fans of the epic sci-fi series celebrate May 4 with events and costumes. 

Whether you’re a Jedi or a Sith, anyone can celebrate at these local Star Wars Day events. 

May the Fourth be with You at Bethany Lutheran Church

Cinematic Symphony will perform a concert of John Williams’ music. Doors at 7:45 p.m.

May The 4th Be With You! Graveltooth at the ABGB

The all-ages event will feature “Wookieoke” (karaoke for Wooks), a “Han Solo Air Guitar Battle” and art activities. 8 p.m.

May The 4th Be With You at Star Bar

The bar will host a costume contest, sell special t-shirts and sell light beers on one side with dark beers on another. 11 a.m.

May the 4th Be With You - Star Party! at McKinney Falls State Park

Stargaze in Star Wars costumes at the Lower Falls of the park using a telescope. Entry fees: $6 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and younger are free. 9 p.m.

May the 4th Be With You at Flamingo Cantina

Enjoy local music and a live art DJ/painting performance with a portion of proceeds benefiting Mindful Schools. Doors at 8 p.m.

May The 4th Be With Y’all 2018 at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul

The charity event will include a costume contest, art show, and lightsaber battles. Kid welcome from 5 to 8 p.m.

May the 4th be with you at Spirit of Texas Distillery

The distillery will offer prizes for best costume, best Wookiee mating call and best acapella rendition of the Star Wars theme song. 5 p.m.

Star Wars Day - A Free Celebration at 4th Tap Brewing Co-op

Check out Star Wars fan films and compete for a prize in contests for best costume, Wookiee mating call and Yoda impression. Doors at 6:30 p.m. 

Star Wars Day at Cane Rosso

Diners can sip on a “Bantha colada” or chow down on “Death Star Ravioli, Roni One pizza or Sith S’mores Calzones. Cosplayers will receive 25 percent off their bill and get a chance to win a gift card. a custome Stormtrooper helmet will be raffled off. 5 p.m.

Not in the mood for a whole party? On Friday only, pick up a fresh baked cinnamon roll (or two if you’re feeling like Princess Leia) at Easy Tiger’s Sixth Street, Fareground and Cedar Park locations.
