17th Annual Soul to Sole Festival. Tapestry Dance Company, which focuses primarily on repertory tap dance, presents its annual festival of rhythm. The event brings dancers and teachers from around the world together for swinging jazz, a rhythm showcase and a stunning faculty performance with the Souls of Our Feet Jazz Trio. The Rhythm Showcase, on Friday night, will be anchored by Tapestry, with excerpts from the company’s recent production of “Listen,” featuring special guest Zell Miller III. 8 p.m. June 16 and 17. $21.50-$35. SATURDAY

International Day of Yoga. Find your zen at this worldwide celebration of yoga that will have, in Austin, a 90-minute free yoga session. Like the thousands of other locations around the globe, Austin’s yoga event will feature restorative asana practice, wisdom, breathing and meditation. There will be multiple instructors at different locations throughout the Texas Capitol lawns. Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time (5:45 p.m.) to find your spot. Fasten Fest at Fair Market. Never mind that Uber and Lyft are back: Fasten, one of the companies that established a foothold here when the transportation giants left town last year, is celebrating a year in Austin with a free party that also includes free brunch and free booze. The music lineup includes out-of-towners Beach Fossils, El Rancho and DJ Justin Martin, as well as locals Quiet Company, the Nightowls and Mama K & the Shades. Father’s Day in the Park. Celebrate Dad’s special day with a concert in the park from Austin Symphonic Band. Bring a picnic basket and enjoy the evening of music. 7:30 p.m. June 18. Free. Zilker Hillside Theater, 2206 William Barton Drive.

Father’s Day Aerial Yoga Date. There are many ways dads could spend their special day, but it’s hard to find a celebration quite like this one. Both father and child will be guided through a 50-minute aerial yoga class during which they will explore what it feels like to swing, go upside down, balance, fly, connect and strengthen their minds and bodies. The class will be followed by a creative project and some delicious sips and bites. Kids must be 6 and over to participate. Leave jewelry and watches at home. 2 to 3:30 p.m. June 18. $55. Children’s Day Art Park. Children and their families are invited to discover the wonder and excitement of the performing arts with this regular Austin Symphony Orchestra show performing on Wednesdays throughout the summer. During the morning festivities, the musicians will visit with the kids, demonstrating their instruments and playing their favorite tunes. 9:30 a.m. June 21. 50 cents per child. Sound & Cinema. One of Austin’s quintessential summer events returns with its first installment and will run alternating Wednesdays through July on the Long Center terrace. Sound & Cinema features live bands paired with classic Hollywood movies. First up is “Princess Bride” and Icing (a Cake tribute band).
