The Blanton Block Party

Explore the Blanton Museum of Art at this day-long community festival celebrating the newly reinstalled permanent collection galleries. There will be outdoor family art activities, live music, food and tours. Plus, renowned artist Nina Katchadourian, in conjunction with her exhibition, “Nina Katchadourian: Curiouser,” will be giving a lecture and a book signing. The evening will give way to a special party with after-hours art viewing, a cash bar, light bites, live music and dancing, a photo booth and art-making activities. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. March 25. Find tips on your spring home and garden needs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 25 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 26 at Palmer Events Center. 4th Annual Pepper Beer Party at Craft Pride

Your afternoon is about to get hot. The Rainey Street beer bar is again hosting a post-South by Southwest party for people with palates for spicy flavors and will have a variety of different pepper beers on tap March 25. Those beers include Austin Beerworks Sputniko, Lakewood Brewing’s Mole Temptress and Last Stand Brewing Company’s Beeramisu with 12 ghost peppers. Live bluegrass and Texas country music starts at 2:30 p.m.; Via 313 will also have a special spicy pizza. 61 Rainey St.

Little Woodrow’s Mudbug Munch

Join the Tech Ridge location of Little Woodrow’s for the bar’s Mudbug Munch, which will have crawfish and music fun. Enjoy all-you-can-eat or by-the-pound servings from 2 p.m. March 25 until they’re all gone. Later, there will be a live acoustic classic rock set by longtime Austin musician Kevin Vance from 7 to 10 p.m. 12601 Tech Ridge Drive.

Rodeo Austin

It’s the final days for the rodeo, stock show, fair and more. 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday. $8 adults, $5 children ages 3-12, free 2 and younger. Rodeo, concerts and carnival extra. 9100 Decker Lake Road.

Zilker Garden Festival

Learn about gardening, pick up garden-themed arts and crafts and visit the flower show, plus music, food vendors and a craft beer garden.
