The Blanton Block Party
Explore the Blanton Museum of Art at this day-long community festival celebrating the newly reinstalled permanent collection galleries. There will be outdoor family art activities, live music, food and tours. Plus, renowned artist Nina Katchadourian, in conjunction with her exhibition, “Nina Katchadourian: Curiouser,” will be giving a lecture and a book signing. The evening will give way to a special party with after-hours art viewing, a cash bar, light bites, live music and dancing, a photo booth and art-making activities. 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. March 25. 4th Annual Pepper Beer Party at Craft Pride
Your afternoon is about to get hot. The Rainey Street beer bar is again hosting a post-South by Southwest party for people with palates for spicy flavors and will have a variety of different pepper beers on tap March 25. Those beers include Austin Beerworks Sputniko, Lakewood Brewing’s Mole Temptress and Last Stand Brewing Company’s Beeramisu with 12 ghost peppers. Join the Tech Ridge location of Little Woodrow’s for the bar’s Mudbug Munch, which will have crawfish and music fun.
