16th Annual Blue Genie Art Bazaar. The four-week holiday shopping extravaganza, which opened on Black Friday, features all the items you’ll need for stocking stuffers and special gifts, including handmade artwork, jewelry, ceramics, prints and other original pieces made by local artisans. You can also enjoy special events and activities in a family-friendly environment, and refreshments and drinks will be available. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily through Dec. 24. Free. 6100 Airport Blvd.

Armadillo Christmas Bazaar

The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar is celebrating 41 years of showcasing local and national artists. The bazaar is one of Austin’s longest running art and music festivals and attracts more than 40,000 shoppers each year. Expect 160 artists offering crafts ranging from upscale art to handmade gifts as well as live music and a festive bar scene. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. through Dec. 24. $8; kids 12 and younger free. Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Road.

Ice Skating on the Plaza at Whole Foods. The flagship store offers ice skating 10 a.m.-9 p.m. daily through Jan. 7. Call or check the website for updated hours, as private parties can book the rink Monday-Thursday. $10/person, which includes skates. 525 N. Lamar Blvd. 512-476-1206,

Ice Skating at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa. Guests and passers-through can take a few spins around the ice skating rink on Riversong Lawn for a good cause. All-day skating includes skate rentals ($20 adult/$15 child for hotel guests; $25 adult/$20 child for non-guests) with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Bastrop County Women’s Shelter. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily through Jan. 4 (except Dec. 30-Jan. 1).
