Suerte and Mum Foods team for pastrami taco collab tonight

I’ve gone on the record about how I feel about pastrami vs. brisket (tired narrator voice: “He likes pastrami.”), so I was excited to see the one-off collab coming to Suerte tonight.

The folks at Mum Foods are bringing over their excellent pastrami to the modern Mexican restaurant for a taco mash-up.

Operating under the name Taquero Tuesday Takeover, Suerte will serve Mum Foods’s pastrami in their supple housemade tortillas and finish them with mimolette mustard queso, sauerkraut and escabeche. Each order includes two tacos for $5, and the special starts with happy hour at 5 p.m. and lasts until the tacos run out.

Now the question is: Will they be better than Suerte’s beloved suadero tacos?
