Soup Peddler opens new downtown location

Just in time for a blast of cold weather, longtime local business the Soup Peddler has opened a new downtown location. The business from David Ansel is now serving hot soups, juices, smoothies and grab-and-go food in the former Daily Juice location at 205 W. Third St.

Soup Peddler is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. You can order from the downtown location online via this link. This is the sixth location of the business that started as a soup delivery business more than 15 years ago before evolving to include more offerings like juices, smoothies and salads.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story reported the new Soup Peddler store was the company’s first downtown location. Soup Peddler also operates a location on North Lamar Boulevard, right on the edge of downtown. This story has been updated to clarify.
