Popular Southeast Austin coffee, beer and booze bar and venue Buzz Mill will open a location at 5012 E. Seventh St. on Halloween. And there will be barbecue offerings for both carnivores and herbivores.

Dubbed Buzz Mill Shady (it sits at Shady Lane just west of Airport Boulevard), the bar will be the home of PlowBq, a riff on the original location’s popular plant-based Plow Burger trailer. For meat lovers, there will be JNL Barbecue. Ben Lambert, a five-year veteran of Franklin Barbecue, will operate the truck, as a pop-up at first and then full-time, with his wife, Sarah Lambert. The Austin Rotisserie trailer currently on site will remain as part of the food trailer offerings.

Like the original, the new Buzz Mill will also feature live music and comedy performances.
