Veracruz All Natural celebrates Beck and barbacoa with signed LP giveaway

Veracruz All Natural celebrates barbacoa and Beck this week. []

Remember that time Beck played a killer show the Westlake High School auditorium in 2002? We do. But, we digress.

The musician apparently also made an impact on the owners of Veracruz All Natural. All locations of the taco truck and taqueria are honoring one of their “musical heroes” ahead of his weekend show at Austin360 Amphitheater by serving a rebranded version of their barbacoa taco, now called the Guero Taco, named in honor of Beck and his 2005 Latin-inflected groove album of the same name.

The taco is made with barbacoa made from the cow’s head and tongue and served with cilantro, onions, cabbage, radish, and a lime wedge.

Veracruz calls the taco “an ideal match for Beck and his music.”

Not only are they giving the artist a beefy nod, they are giving diners a chance to take home a signed copy of “Guero.” All five locations will raffle off Friday a copy of the 2005 album signed by the eclectic California rocker. Can’t make it to a location Friday? They’re also raffling off one album via their social media channels, so keep and eye on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
