Now open: The Pickle House restaurant, specializing in, yes, pickles

Are you the type that will pluck the pickle jar from the fridge just to drink its juice? Do you chase shots of whiskey with a pickle back? Then, boy, does Sam Addison have the restaurant for you.

The founder of Pogue Mahone Pickles recently opened The Pickle House at 9521 US 290 W. in the space of the former Lox, Box and Barrel. The restaurant goes all in on pickling, serving appetizers like a fried pickle basket and pickled queso dip, along with pickle-fried chicken and pickle-fried fish, and cheeseburgers, chicken and fish sandwiches with creamy pickle spread. There also tuna, chicken and egg salad sandwiches jazzed with that briny flavor.

The restaurant does have a few things without the pickle flavor, including a few pies for desserts, and entrees like a smothered pork chop and meatloaf.
