Gourdough's introduces Selena-inspired doughnut in San Antonio
Selena fans and doughnut fans can now come together under a common hero in San Antonio.
Gourdough's Public House is debuting the Selena-inspired "Bidi Bidi Bon Bon" doughnut at the grand opening of its San Antonio Riverwalk location Saturday.
"Show-stopping and downright delicious, the Bidi Bidi Bon Bon features sparkly hot purple cinnamon butter cream cheese icing, white chocolate-covered bon bons, chocolate pearls and a white chocolate sauce drizzle," Gourdough's said in a press release.
Those who get in line early at the restaurant's Feb. 23 grand opening have the chance to try the Bidi Bidi Bon Bon for free. Gourdough’s is giving away free dessert donuts with any purchase from noon to 2 p.m. Afterward, the Bidi Bidi Bon Bon will be available for $7.99.
According to the press release, you'll only be able to find the Bidi Bidi Bon Bon at the restaurant's Riverwalk location at 215 Losoya Street.
“Being new to San Antonio, we wanted to come into the community right — and nothing reflects San Antonio culture quite like Selena,” co-owner Paula Samford said in the press release. “This doughnut is special to San Antonio, so we plan on keeping it exclusive only to the Riverwalk location. You won’t be able to find it at our Austin spots.”
This is Gourdough's third location and the first outside of Austin.
