Easy Tiger's popular beer garden will be the site of of a "Food Paradise" shoot.

Austinites have the chance to show Travel Channel viewers why our city has become such a mecca for food lovers.

Let’s put it this way: Austin is a total “Food Paradise” — and the Travel Channel show of the same name will be filming at Easy Tiger on Wednesday. Best of all? The popular downtown beer garden and bakery is inviting locals to participate in the action

During happy hour Wednesday, specifically from 5 to 8 p.m., “Food Paradise” is shooting in Easy Tiger’s outdoor beer garden, but you might not just be a briefly shown smile on the B-roll. The TV show is also conducting customer interviews. So get ready to gush about that beer cheese.

In celebration of the shoot, Easy Tiger plans to extend happy hour specials: $3 local drafts, $3 small pretzel and beer cheese, $5 sausage links and $5 Whiskey Wednesday cocktails. Note that the beer garden won’t be open until 5 p.m., as a result of the filming process, but the bake shop will have business as usual, selling coffee and pastries all day.

The Travel Channel’s “Food Paradise” explores must-visit eateries across the country and is currently in the middle of season 19. Catch new episodes at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
