Austin Playhouse, which expects to move into new, permanent quarters in Northeast Austin by the end of 2020 at the earliest, has announced a season sweetened with old favorites and fresh offerings. The troupe, which traces its heritage back to Live Oak Theatre and the State Theater, will remain in its Austin Community College Highland venue through the 2019-2020 season.
