Another South by Southwest is safely in the bag, so let’s look at temping spring parties for the post-SXSW weeks.

March 22: “Creative Expressions: Celebrating Women Composers” opens. Long Center

This Austin Symphony concert repeats March 23.

March 23: Cityside Dinner benefits the Hispanic Alliance. Heller Hall.

Multi-course dinner with wine pairings by Austin Finley of Parkside Projects.

March 24: Boston Pops on Tour. Long Center.

The venerable group plays the scores of John Williams, its former music director.

March 25: Nine Core Values Luncheon for First Tee of Austin. Hyatt Regency.

Nine local celebrities embody the values of this group that promotes character through golf.

March 28: Souls of Our Feet China Tour Premiere opens. Long Center/Rollins Studio Theatre.

This celebration of rhythm dance continues through March 31

March 30: Third Annual Block Party. Blanton Museum of Art.

More than 10,000 guests attended this mash-up of art, food and music.

March 30: “Abraham Cruzvillegas: Hi, How Are You, Gonzo?” The Contemporary Austin-Jones Center.

April 4: Power for Parkinson’s “Musical Collage.” Austin Central Public Library.

Musicians play to honor those they know with Parkinson’s Disease.

April 6: Austin’s Fab Five for Seedling. Westin at the Domain.

Dinner honors Mayor Steve Adler along with Terri Broussard Williams, Kristie Gonzales, Jan Goss-Gibson and Neil Webber.

April 6: Rare & Fine Wine Auction for the Wine & Food Foundation of Texas. JW Marriott Hotel.
