Pretty soon, Matthew McConaughey can drape a Texas Medal of Arts around his Academy Award statuette.

The accomplished Austinite — who co-hosts one of the city’s best charity parties, Mack, Jack & McConaughey, each spring — will inject his social spirit into the dignified medal ceremonies, Feb. 26-27, staged by Texas Cultural Trust, an arts advocacy group.
